ABOUT ME
Ron Goldin
I am a licensed competition fly fishing guide (NY License #9742) with over 8 years of experience. I've fished the world's great rivers, from the storied waters of New York's Charmed Circle to Big Sky's Gallatin River to New Zealand's supersized trophy brown trout.

WHERE I TEACH
Catskills & NYC
A designer by trade, I've spent hundreds of days on the waters of the Catskills Park Area: nymphing the Esopus River near Woodstock/Phoencia, casting delicate dries on the Beaverkill, Willowemoc, and Delaware near Livingston Manor and Roscoe, even bass fishing on the Reservoirs near Kingston. I also teach the basics in Manhattan's Central Park and Brooklyn's Prospect Park, where you can catch bass, panfish, carp, and more.

HOW I TEACH
Philosophy
I don't believe guides should just catch fish for people. Learning to read the water, understand how fish behave, and get exposure to the full array of techniques and tools will empower you to find your own style of fishing — whether you're looking for a low-key escape from the city or an off-the-beaten-path adventure in the heart of nature.
